Make-up A Title

I'll admit that my makeup routine tends to stay the same throughout the year. I'm a creature of habit, pulling out the same lip-gloss, pink blush, and neutral eyeshadow quad with slight variations here and there. After doing some prep in my closet, I turned to see if there were any forgotten makeup gems that fell in sync with Fall beauty trends. Among my finds were berry and wine lipsticks, dusky rose blushes, and shadows in metallic silvers, purples and greens.

Cue the Girls

I like to equate fashion shows to an all grown up version of dress-up. With the Disney costumes now replaced with designer creations and the make-up painted on by true professionals, it's what every girl was pretending in her mind. While there is something to be said for the avante garde make-up that comes down the runway, these fresh faced looks are easily attainable with a couple eyeshadows and lipstick colors. You might even get a double take...in a good way, of course!

How To: Gel Lined Eyes

There's days when a quick application of mascara is all I want, but when the day calls for a bit more, this is my eye make-up routine. Instead of a pencil liner, a gel liner and brush are the two essentials in my make-up bag.

products:
Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black Plum Ink color.
Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Liner Brush

Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express
other necessities:
your favorite eyeshadow
eyelash curler
q-tips

Apply eyeshadow. I lean towards bronze/brown tones, with a darker shade on the crease for depth.

Gradually brush on gel liner into the lash line making your way to the inner corner of your eye. Use a q-tip to smooth out any little mistakes.

Pretty in Pink

God sent me a little angel today, and it goes by the name of Sephora. That store is amazing, a bit overwhelming, but amazing nonetheless.

You can try everything without being eyed by pesky associates. The specialists aren't pushy like department store make-up counters who push that their line is the greatest out of the twenty other competitors. Sephora's peeps are there to HELP, not sell, and they are experienced on the pros and cons of everything in that store. They have free samples when you reach a certain amount or if you want to try out a product without having to buy it first.

My best friend turned me on to Lorac, pronounced La-Rock (we've been apparently mispronouncing it for a couple years). It's natural, fragrance and oil free. The last time we were together, she had this amazing blush (the color is Desire) and I wore it the entire time we were together. It's incredibly smooth, soft, and easy to apply. Well, today I got it, along with some other make-up necessities.

Also, I discovered and tested out this clear lip gloss by Smashbox that uses your "natural skin chemistry" and creates a gloss shade all you own. A fellow customer put it on before me and hers turned a light shade of purple, mine turned a great shade of pink.

Now, go get pretty!
