Buckle Up

As far as I'm concerned, bib necklaces can stay hitched on the trend bandwagon for as long as possible. I love seeing them with the simplest tee or dressed up with a LBD. That's not to say I'm keeping my eyes shielded from other accessories. Say for instance, those buckle bracelets. If it weren't for the 6 inch circumference, they could easily be mistaken for belts with their notches and all. Made in a multitude of fun, fresh colors and variations, the overall menswear influence is almost forgotten.

Hostess with the Mostest

Whenever I'm a guest at another's home, I'm always impressed by a good hostess' attention to detail. Besides their knack for your utmost comfort, little touches, whether intentional or not, always present an "at home" feel. Whether it's a place card at the dinner table or a beautiful hand soap waiting for you at the bathroom sink, here are a couple items to help pay it forward to your future guests.

Bursting Bubbles

April showers were nowhere in sight while I enjoyed some bubbles and my periwinkle spring dress. It's one of those pieces that I can dress up or dress down, and with the soft, delicate fabric it feels as if I'm wearing a nighttime slip. My only wish is that I had it in a rainbow of vibrant and playful colors.

1 Item, 3 Ways

As the heat arrives, my outfits of choice will include mostly blousy tops and shorts. Imagine my delight, when a perfect top option popped up on my radar in three shades, styled with some adorable shorts, and with a pleasant price tag. Shoulder pleats and a buttoned back closure have me loving the little details, now I'm debating on which color would best suit my closet's short selection.

New Addition(s)

Two new arrivals brought some added fun to this holiday weekend.

In our home, the past month has been all about the anticipation of the iPad. The boyfriend was practically dreaming about it every night, and I'm glad that it will no longer be the main topic at the dinner table. As much as the tech talk started to get to me, I've got to say he was right in all the optimism. This gadget has quickly become our new laptop. In the first days, the little iPad and I have bonded over Netflix movies, blog commenting, and various apps.

A delivery from my mom back home reminded me of the days of having an Easter basket. What more could I want than a box filled with candy and cookies to decorate? Oh, she knows me so well.

I wish for all of you a great weekend filled with Cadbury eggs, mimosas with brunch, and a little reflection on the holiday. Send the same wishes my way, and I'll meet you back here on Monday.

For Peep's Sake

Easter brings far too many sugary treats to choose from. With cupcakes adorned with animal creations and jelly beans galore, the presentation in these desserts almost makes them too cute to eat. Nevertheless, my sweet tooth always wins out, and they don't stand a chance. Now if only I could decide which one to make. Option 1: A little eeny, meeny, miny, moe... Option 2: You help me decide.
