Indoor S'mores

As my boyfriend plans an upcoming camping trip with his brother, the only thing that sounds appealing is the thought of making s'mores by a campfire. Lucky for me, my fondue pot serves as a more appealing option considering it means no bug spray, summer humidity and the whole sleeping in a tent thing. In addition to graham cracker and marshmallow dippers, crisp "pink lady" and "golden delicious" apple slices and whole strawberries were dunked into my blend of marshmallow fluff and chocolate sauce. My mind kept thinking of other items to dip, and I'm sure just about anything would taste great dipped into that mix.

Lacquer It On

A friend of mine seems to have a new shade of polish on her nails each time I see her, and her do-it-yourself manicures are nothing less than perfection. With a rainbow of colors out there, it's fun to see which shades make their debut on her fingertips. For me, that means making a mental note of the ones that catch my eye and imagining them mixed with a couple summer staples. Those time's when my polish matches my outfit exactly I take it as a pleasant coincidence, but what I love most is a bit of an unexpected contrast.

Hollywood Prom

For some of my favorite movies, there's always that specific scene that has me coming back again and again. In fact, I sometimes skip to the best part right away when I'm all alone and no one is around to judge my lack of patience. It should come as no surprise that a majority of the moments involve gorgeous gowns that encapsulate a range of stories, from a modern Cinderella's tale in opera-attending red to 80's teen angst in a pink creation all her own.

As soon as I came across her pieces, I was instantly drawn to the necklaces and earrings with their individual dangling crystals and beads. Upon finding this dress, I've worn it repeatedly for any occasion I can think of, from dinner dates to a simple night at the movies. As a creature of habit, I couldn't help but locate other flirty and floral options that I'd love just the same.
