Today's trip to Anthropologie got me giddy with excitement as I searched through all the home decor and clothing. The appeal to me is the vintage aesthetic that emanates throughout like an ideal flea market of treasures. From the bins of little knobs to a delicately textured pea-coat, I'm in love with it all. The crossover from home to wardrobe is seamless and these items are no exception in their apparent similarities.

Make-up A Title
I'll admit that my makeup routine tends to stay the same throughout the year. I'm a creature of habit, pulling out the same lip-gloss, pink blush, and neutral eyeshadow quad with slight variations here and there. After doing some prep in my closet, I turned to see if there were any forgotten makeup gems that fell in sync with Fall beauty trends. Among my finds were berry and wine lipsticks, dusky rose blushes, and shadows in metallic silvers, purples and greens.

Home Surroundings
Over the weekend, I stayed mainly at home which gave me a chance to admire the little nooks and details around me. I love making simple change-ups on a mantle, setting aside pieces I want to wear during the week, and having my reading books all set by the bed. Enjoy a peek into what surrounds me on a daily basis!

As the Sun Goes Down
For the past week, I've been trying to shift my outfit choices into the Fall season. Since Mother Nature isn't quite cooperating, my only realistic option is throwing on a jacket towards the end of the day as it cools down. With the simplest of outfits, I love to add-on vintage jewels and a unique bag for a little added touch of sparkle and texture.

Cinemagraphs
Beyond stunning "cinemagraphs" I came across from Jamie Beck & Kevin Burg via their photography blog From Me To You. In case you thought street photography and b.t.s shots couldn't get more interesting, here you go.

Leopard Leap
I've been on the hunt for a chic pair of leopard flats for some time. There's something about the classic spots used as a neutral that gives off a fresh, fall vibe that doesn't seem like you are trying too hard (like a poofy faux fur vest). Leopard print in accessories can add an instant "pop" to the simplest of outfits. And for a girl who likes to be classic AND fashion forward its a great introduction into the animal world.

Fall Closet Inventory
With each impending season, I like to take inventory of what's still holding a spot in my closet. (The forgotten pieces tucked in the back from past seasons. Fall coats I'd forgotten I had. Thrifted items that just weren't logical to throw on in the summer heat.) The past few days, I've awoken to a fall gloom that's surprisingly
comforting accompanied by a cool breeze through the window. After such a hot summer, I'm hoping the
cooler temperatures are here to stay. Change in weather is good, but what's better is incorporating
these pieces into my day to day life... once again.

Looks Who's Back
First, let me get the apologies out of the way. SORRY for the long break I took from this blog. Quite honestly, posting and a full time job were not mixing very well. At the end of my work day, I chose to relax instead of beating myself up for a blog post topic. I'd rather give you quality material over lackluster thrown together posts. So here's the deal. I'm now working freelance in wardrobe and styling, which gives me more time for this blog I love...and I hope you do too. Thanks for those of you who have stuck around. It means more than you know.
